We are seeking to appoint a Sales and Customer Service Administrator to join the team.
About the role of a Sales and Customer Service Administrator
Based at our head office in Tebay, Cumbria; your time will be divided between our sales administration team, and our customer service team. This will give you a broad oversight of two key departments and empower you to work closely with whole organisation.
We are looking to fill a full-time position (37.5 hours per week), but alternative hours will be considered.
Reporting to the Sales Administration Supervisor and the Customer Services Manager, you will be responsible for:
Providing quotations and processing customer orders
Ensuring customers pay to terms
Assisting the Sales Administration Supervisor with the finance and credit control duties of the company
Keeping up to date with current Lyon products technical specification and usage
Promptly and appropriately answering emails and calls relating to:
o Customer incidents
o Warranty claims
o Any other inquiries related to products, orders and deliveries
Answer customer enquiries with product information or advice
Record customer incidents, process returns and manage cases using our CRM system, negotiating positive resolutions for Lyon and our customers.
Inspect, record and test warranty claims across our brand portfolio
The person we seek will ideally have the following:
Experience in an administrative, sales support, or customer service role.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and customer‑focused approach.
High attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders, updating records, and preparing documents.
Confident using CRM systems, order processing software, and Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Excel, and Word).
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve issues proactively and efficiently.
Comfortable handling inbound customer queries, escalating when required, and ensuring timely follow‑up.
Experience supporting sales teams with quotations, proposal preparation, order tracking, and reporting.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in both sales and customer service, providing reliable cross‑departmental support.
