ORTLIEB Brand Development Manager

Commencing salary likely to be in the region of £36,000 - £39,000 per annum
The Role
We are the exclusive distributor of Ortlieb in the UK and Irish markets. Due to the continued growth of this world leading manufacturer of waterproof cycle and outdoor equipment, we have an exciting opportunity for someone who can take Ortlieb to the next level and beyond.
The ideal candidate will have strong management skills, is a team player with a proven ability in driving sales growth, developing and managing marketing strategy and prospecting new markets. Experience in the Outdoor/ Cycle industry at retail or supplier level would be advantageous.
Main duties:
- Brand Strategy & Commercial Performance
Act as the primary point of contact between Lyon Equipment and Ortlieb.
Develop and deliver a rolling five-year sales and marketing strategy in partnership with the Head of Sales and Marketing.
Communicate brand strategy and objectives effectively to Ortlieb, our internal teams and to customers.
Monitor and report on sales performance, profitability, market trends and growth opportunities through regular management reporting.
Identify barriers to sales and recommend actions to improve commercial performance.
Represent Lyon Equipment at supplier meetings and maintain strong relationships with key contacts.
- Product & Range Management
Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support product development and commercial decisions.
Work closely with the Purchasing Department on range planning, forecasting, pricing strategy and stock management.
Maintain an understanding of competitor products, pricing and market positioning.
Manage end of line and clearance activity to optimise stock turn while protecting profitability and market positioning.
- Sales & Dealer Development
Support Sales Representatives with key accounts to drive sales growth and brand presence.
Work closely with the sales team to identify opportunities and deliver commercial objectives.
Provide product knowledge, training and ongoing support to customers, sales representatives, and internal teams.
Support the Customer Service team in resolving brand-specific issues and maintaining high service standards.
- Marketing & Brand Development
Lead the development of the annual marketing strategy and collaborate with the wider team to deliver effective campaigns.
Coordinate product launches across all sales and marketing channels.
Support the planning and delivery of trade shows, dealer events, house shows and consumer exhibitions.
Attend relevant events and exhibitions as a brand ambassador where required.
Build relationships across the Cycle, Outdoor and other industries to identify partnership opportunities and increase brand awareness.
