Marketing Department
Our marketing team plays a vital role in supporting our distributed brands, as well as promoting our in‑house manufactured products and training services. We create engaging, impactful campaigns that align with global brand strategies while bringing a uniquely UK‑focused perspective to our market. We are now looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join this team.
The Role
In this role, you’ll contribute to marketing activity across the breadth of the Lyon business, with a particular focus on supporting the growth of our Outdoor division. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you’ll be based at our office in Tebay, Cumbria, with some offsite work and travel. Hybrid working is available.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
Create, schedule, and manage email marketing campaigns across B2C and B2B channels
Link email campaigns to relevant website landing pages, products, and promotional content
Coordinate and upload website banners, homepage graphics, promotional imagery, and seasonal campaign assets
Merchandise products and collections across websites to improve customer experience and conversion
Work closely with marketing and sales team to ensure brand consistency across all digital channels
Assist with campaign planning for promotions, launches, seasonal activity, and customer retention initiatives
Monitor campaign performance including email engagement, website traffic, and conversion metrics
Support SEO best practices including metadata, page content, and on-site optimisation
Ensure websites remain visually appealing, accurate, and up to date
Assist with customer segmentation and targeted marketing campaigns for both B2C and B2B audiences
Support the team with web development as needed
What we expect from you:
Previous experience in digital marketing, ecommerce, or website merchandising
Experience using email marketing platforms such as Klaviyo, Mailchimp, or similar
Familiarity with ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce
Good eye for visual presentation, layout, and branding
Basic image editing skills using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar tools
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple websites and campaigns simultaneously
Analytical mindset with experience reviewing marketing and ecommerce performance data
Excellent written communication and attention to detail
Experience or interest in web development is desirable, although training can be provided
Previous knowledge or experience in outdoor and rescue equipment retail would be beneficial
Hours of work:
This is a full-time position which equates to a 37.5-hour week (Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 17:00 and Friday 08:30 to 14:00). Alternative hours would be considered.
