Mast & Tower Climbing & Rescue
Duration - 3 Days :: Course Cost - £540 plus VAT
The course includes both practical and theory sessions and provides candidates with an introduction to and understanding of workplace regulations, risk assessments, equipment inspection, systems of work and the correct selection, fitting and use of work at height equipment.
Candidates receive practical training and assessment in the safe and effective use of a range of equipment and are made aware of its limitations.
Practical training is carried out in our bespoke all-weather training centre at Tebay and also makes good use of our 18 metre training tower to provide realistic training and work-based situations involving climbing of fixed ladders, moving around a structure and working ‘hands-free’.
Training is also given in the use of the Lyon Synergy™ Pick-Off Rescue Kit and Reach Pole in a range of scenarios to enable the rescuer to recover a casualty in suspension to a place of safety. Practical scenarios will also deal with the particular challenges presented by rescues from high or complex tower structures.
Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
