Ladder Climbing CoursesLadders remain one of the most common factors involved in falls from height and account for more than a quarter of all falls.

This course will provide both theoretical and practical training covering legal requirements, risk assessments, equipment selection, pre-use inspection and quality assurance for personnel who are required to use and specify the use of leaning ladders or step ladders at work. Common causes of falls from ladders are also discussed.

The course has been designed for personnel such as stage lighting riggers, electricians, window cleaners, ceiling fitters, building maintenance operatives, plasterers, or any other person using leaning ladders or stepladders in their workplace.

During the course candidates will receive instruction in the correct methods for use and the limitations of ladders.  Practical sessions include the use of different types of ladders to complete a number of real work tasks.

Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
