Work at Height for Riggers and Stage Workers
Duration - 2 Days :: Course Cost - £360 plus VAT
The course has been designed to provide candidates with work at height skills necessary to gain access to, and move around, structures typically found within the entertainment industry or other similar environments.
This is a practical and theoretical course covering relevant legislation, risk assessment, equipment inspection, selection and application. The course covers techniques required for safe access and working within difficult to reach locations and includes elements of rope access for ascent and descent.
The course introduces a range of work at height methods from simple restraint systems to some of the more advanced ‘on rope’ access techniques. Candidates are provided with a broad understanding of the uses and limitations of the equipment and the working techniques involved. Practical exercises involve the use of personal fall protection equipment for moving around a structure at low level before moving to more exposed areas where candidates will complete simulated work tasks, always fully supervised by the course trainer.
Following assessment, successful candidates will receive a Lyon Equipment certificate and an ID card record of training, valid for three years.
