Work at Height Regulations - 1 day (course code LT14)

The Work at Height Regulations came into force on 6th April 2005 (amended April 2007), and has a major impact on all sectors of industry.

Who is this course for?

Anyone who has responsibility for work at height operations.

This may include for example:
- Operation Directors
- Safety Officers
- Line Managers
- IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Supervisors

Prerequisite

A basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Course content

This is a theoretical course designed to:
- Introduce the new Work at Height Regulations
- Interpret these Regulations
- Provide management systems to comply with the regulations
- Allow discussion on their impact and implementation

The course will cover topics such as:
- Reasons for the changes in legislation
- Who the regulations apply to
- Effects of the regulations (including amendments) on existing legislation
- Study and interpretation of the new Work at Height Regulations and schedules
- Examples of application (case studies)

Assessment
Continuous assessment and short written test.

Certification
A certificate of training will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
