Hampshire Fire & Rescue Service Specialist Response Week

Lyon Equipment Ltd as the UK distributor for PETZL and BEAL professional work at height Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is pleased to be one of the very select group of technical equipment suppliers invited to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Services Specialist Response Week.

We support fully the aims of the event and welcome the opportunity for practitioners, specialists and operational managers to discuss, debate and experiment with the latest equipment and techniques for work at height and technical rope rescue.

Those attending the rope rescue day will be able to meet key members of the Lyon Equipment Ltd technical team and see a wide range of products that are ideally suited to the demanding operational requirements of today’s Emergency Services.

This is an ideal opportunity for those considering using PETZL and BEAL products to learn more about their capabilities, the thinking behind the designs and the potential applications they have.

For the growing number of Emergency Services already using these products it will allow face to face discussion on more involved, technical issues that can arise.

As a company respected worldwide for its knowledge of specialist work at height and technical rescue we welcome the opportunity to share ideas and solutions with all those attending. If you have feedback on a product, a new technique or an application that’s not routine then come and speak to us.

We hope that delegates will not only come and discuss current products in depth but will also try them out practically, courtesy of the access tower provided by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.

We will be bringing along a variety of equipment from our current range that has already been selected by Fire and Rescue Services throughout the UK. Delegates will be welcome to put any of the harnesses, helmets, ascenders, descenders and back up devices through their paces and compare them with their current operational equipment. Lyon technical staff will of course be on hand to provide instruction at these sessions.

We will also be showing some new items in advance of their global launch in 2010 such as the PETZL RIG personal descender and the PETZL OXAN and VULCAN steel connectors.

In support of the educational aspect of the event we have donated equipment for use in the demonstrations and destructive testing sessions run by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and we will be in attendance during these sessions.
