Tim is also super active “in the real world”; a collection of hard ice routes ranging from classic Alpine through to gnarly Scottish winter routes is testament to his tenacity.

In 2006, he ventured to the greater ranges of the Himalaya with Ian Parnell, free climbing a new route on the massive East face on Kedar Dome (6840m); an achievement so significant they were nominated for the coveted Piolet d'or.

Tim’s latest wheeze is “Para Alpinism”; this involves climbing big walls with a parachute and then jumping off!

His personal highlights include:

“Getting kids inspired through my motivation lectures to make the most of their opportunities and realise their potential.”
