WIDE Ladders

Specialist ladders, for applications such as silo access silos for inspection or cleaning and for use over sloping structures (such as vessels)

Key features:
 - Made to order, any length up to 15 metres
 - Wide enough to fit feet side by side
 - Larger diameter rungs are more comfortable to stand on
 - Supplied with swaged eye ends
 - Two rung spacing options:
25 cm between rungs for easier climbing
30 cm between rungs for reduced weight and cost

Types of WIDE ladder
 - REGULAR – durable general purpose ladder
 - BLACK RUNG - with stainless steel wire rope sides – for where corrosion is a risk, e.g. marine environments, easy to clean and useful in theatres or where black is required.
 - GRP WIRE – glass reinforced plastic rungs with stainless steel wire rope sides - easy to clean, used by the food and pharmaceutical industries.
 - GRP ROPE – glass reinforced plastic rungs with polyester rope sides - may be suitable where electric shock is a hazard. Heavily fluted rungs are easy to grip, so this ladder is especially good for muddy / slippery environments

 Essential accessories for WIDE ladders
WIDE ladders come as standard with swaged eyes at the top.  Swaged eyes are standard on the bottom of all wire sided WIDE ladders.
WIDE ladders are rarely joined together - they are supplied as standard with 300 mm long sides to allow attachment from a single anchor without the need for a spreader (both sides come together) or the sides can be connected separately to anchor points.
The length of wire sides at the bottom of the WIDE ladders are made so it is possible to join two WIDE ladders together.  This does, however, require the bottom ladder to be used upside down.
Connectors are required for joining ladders or connecting to an anchor.
