Equipment sales for work purposes – a course for resellers

Developed for resellers, this course addresses the issues of supplying Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment. Candidates learn how to identify the correct equipment for their customers needs, and explore their legal role in the supply chain.
Candidates should have some technical knowledge of personal protective equipment and have an interest in selling to the ‘industrial user’

• Standards and the CE mark
• Selection of equipment
• Risk assessment and hierarchy of risk
• Equipment inspection & ‘the regulations’
• Demonstration of knot & sling tests

Day 2
• Health and safety legislation
• Tebay training centre – demonstrations of equipment
• Demonstrations of equipment
• Liability of “work system specifiers”
• Lyon service
Assessment
A short written test on day 2. Successful candidates receive their certificate only after this verification.
