Equipment inspection, care, maintenance & selection courses

Personal protective (and other) work at height equipment should be selected to meet both user and legal requirements. It must be reliably maintained throughout its lifetime.

Inspection and care are key aspects of this management, which must be carried out by a competent person. We offer courses for all levels of competency including:


PPE Inspection Competent Person Certificate Course - Personal Fall Protection Equipment and Systems - 4 days (course code LT09)
 
 
The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER) & other regulations require work at height equipment to be thoroughly examined by a competent person at regular intervals. This course teaches candidates how to systematically manage work at height equipment (PPE) throughout its lifetime.
The course will cover current legislation, appropriate selection of equipment, maintenance and storage of equipment, inspection of equipment and written examination reports.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Inspection Course - 1 day (course code LT08)

All work at height equipment requires inspection prior to, during and after use. All personnel who work at height must be able to inspect their own equipment. This course teaches individuals how to understand, inspect, and care for their own equipment and to determine if it is suitable for use.
