Anchor Placement - 1 day (course code LT16)

The Code of Practice for the design, selection, use and maintenance of anchor devices conforming to BS EN795 was issued on the 4th October 2005.

How does this affect you? 
If you install eyebolt anchors conforming to EN795, you need to be aware of good, accepted practice for the installation and placement of eyebolt anchors.

Who is this course for?
Anyone who has responsibility for inspection, testing or placement of eyebolt anchors (Class A1) for personal fall protection.
This may include for example:

- Eyebolt installation engineers

- Safety installation surveyors

- Building designers

Prerequisite
Previous experience or knowledge in eyebolt installations is an advantage but not essential.

This is a theoretical and practical course covering:

- BS EN795 1997: Personal protection against falls from a height – Anchor devices – Requirements and testing

- BS7883 2005: Code of practice for the application and use of anchor devices conforming to BS EN795

- Types of protection against falls from a height using personal fall protection equipment

Health and safety during installation
Equipment used for installation and testing
Installation of various Petzl eyebolt anchors

Assessment
Continuous assessment, short written test and practical test of anchors placed earlier in the day.

Certification
A certificate of training will be issued upon successful completion of the course.
